July 12, 2015

Hello everyone! I am currently 38 weeks, well almost 39 weeks pregnant. I was so excited when I was contacted by Pink Blush Maternity. They carry the best maternity clothing that makes anyone feel pretty. I chose this dress because it is under their nursing tab on their website. It fits great during pregnancy and works easily for nursing. Buy here!

It comes in different colors/prints and to buy a nursing dress click here

Maxi dresses are perfect for the last weeks and hiding my swollen feet! Sandals are the only thing that fit my feet.

I cannot believe our little baby can come any day now! It feel so surreal and I cannot wait to see his little face. I feel so blessed to have carried him this long and that he is healthy!
Mommy loves you so much Baby Henry.

Heritwine Maternity

May 31, 2015

Hello Readers,
I am so excited to collaborate with Heritwine Maternity. I received this beautiful Maven Mint Ombre Maxi dress just in time for my first baby shower. I received so many compliments on it! Thank you again and I loved the handwritten note that came with the dress. It was so sweet! The owner is a gorgeous super mama!
I love Heritwine Maternity because they are Maternity Friendly! Which means they are not specially made for maternity wear but they have been “belly approved” to be worn while pregnant.
Our family decided to take a random beach trip last Thursday and I knew I wanted to wear this dress again.
It is light weight and makes any pregnant lady feel pretty! It also matched this beautiful California beach too!
I am excited to get to wear this dress even after I am pregnant.
Heritwine Maternity was kind to offer my readers a 20% off your entire purchase!
Shop with the code: ANDREASNOW20

29 week update

May 1, 2015

Happy Friday! I am so excited it's May! One of my favorite months!

  • 3 weeks left of college (no more papers, homework, and stress)
  • My first Mother's Day to celebrate ( I would cry every Sunday during Mother's Day at church)
  • My birthday on May 22th
  • My first baby shower on May 23rd!!!!!!

How far along?  29 weeks and 1 day.
Total weight gain/loss:  No comment hehe it's hard gaining a lot of weight. Well emotionally for me it is. It will all be worth it and I wouldn't trade it for anything. The baby is measuring big and weighed 2 pounds two weeks ago.
Maternity clothes? Yes for bottom's and mostly every dress I own. I only fit in one pair of maternity yoga pants, one pair of super comfy dress pants from Destination Maternity, and a new pair of white Bermuda shorts from Destination Maternity. For tops if they are long enough and stretchy they still fit even if they are not maternity. I am so happy I always loved stretchy long shirts. I am also thankful for friends that have given me and let me borrow maternity clothes. Also Lularoe Maxi skirts still fit. I can make short dresses work with my Lace Extender slip too!
Stretch Marks? No I love CeraVe lotion, Coconut oil with my Doterra Frankincense Essential oil. (buy here! http://www.mydoterra.com/andreaisabelsnow/)
Sleep: Starting to get uncomfortable. My body pillow helps me. My tail bone hurts and hip bones. Also my tummy feels heavy now. Funny story...I was thought I was dying in my sleep two nights ago. I was actually chocking on Acid Re flux for the first time ever. It burned so badly! No more Pepperoni pizza with Marinera dipping sauce
Best moment this week: Everyday when I feel Henry kick me, move around, and seeing my tummy bounce!
Miss Anything? Being able to go for long walks, working out, and my skinny jeans. haha
Movement: Yes!!I love it so much!
Food cravings: I love real food! I love my Rocky Road Rite Aid Thrifty Ice Cream!!
Belly Button in or out? In and all the way in.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time?  Happy, moody, and stressed out. School equals stress.
Weekly Wisdom: During your third trimester do not eat pizza, tomatoes, cucumbers, and dark chocolate. No bueno!
Looking forward to: No more College until August!!
Enjoy some fun selfies I took yesterday with my camera!
Also Carpal Tunnel pain is real during the third trimester...ouch!

Interview with Positively Oakes owner and boss Jess Oakes

March 30, 2015

I am so blessed to be able to collaborate and interview the lovely Jess Oakes from Positively Oakes   and don't forget to read all the way to the bottom for Special Discount code for all my readers! You will receive 15% off your purchase!

Thank you for the interview with me. For the readers that don't follow your shop, tell us a little bit about your shop and blog. I have a couple questions for you so people will be able to get to know you and your business better.

Positively Oakes was created for one sole purpose, realness. Here, we chat and celebrate Motherhood, Mom-bossness, dance to the song Happy often, spread positive awareness and get our shop on.  You’ll find us chatting about Motherhood often, this is close to Jess’ heart, she struggled with infertility for years and finally is expecting her little bundle of joy and feels an extreme importance in being a Mom. We chat about the good, the bad and the ugly, recommend the latest and greatest in baby products and like we said keep it real and honest with you. With Motherhood comes being a Mom Boss. A Mom Boss is a number of things; a warrior who tames little babes and helps them grow and develop while tackling all the work around her and attempting to stay sane. Recently at Positively Oakes we created the campaign #dontwastehappy where we promote being yourself, being happy and not letting anything bring you down—this is where our Positive awareness comes into play. You can read more about it and join us, here. We want every person to feel important, strong, and know they can do anything they put their mind to.
Jess also creates the cutest little accessories over in their shop section of their site and their items have been featured on Cupcake Mag, Buzzfeed and various other publications.
1. What was your inspiration to start your own business and shop?

I love people, that is my main inspiration. I want to surround myself with positive people, help and inspire. I wanted to be able to do something that was close to my heart and still stay home with my babies one day. The inspiration behind the shop part of my site came entirely from my Grandma, she was an amazing seamstress and I learned everything I know about sewing from her--this was a way for me to honor her memory and do something I love. As far as the blog, which is the majority of our site, I wanted a place where Moms could come to support each other, talk about hard things and keep things real.

2. What is some advice you can give others about starting their own blog and being successful with it?

PATIENCE. That's my biggest piece of advice. Sounds redundant I know...but I am totally serious. Everyone used to tell me this and I hated hearing it, but it's the truth. Your dream is not going to happen over night. It takes serious dedication and effort. I work 14 to 15 hours a day sometimes, actually most days and am constantly racking my brain for the next thing. But my advice, DON'T give up--keep going, even when things seem hard and like you're going to hit rock bottom. It will turn around and you will achieve your goals.

3. Congratulations on the soon arrival of your baby girl Blake. What are you looking forward to most about being a first time mother?

Oh my gosh, literally EVERYTHING! I can't wait to be a Mom. I have dreamt of this day since I was a little girl. I can't wait to spoil her and love her and dress her in cute clothes of course. I think what I am looking forward to the most at this second is snuggling her and watching my husband be a Dad--it's going to be amazing.

4. What are your favorite pregnancy essentials or products that you would recommend to others?

My go to thing right now is my favorite pair of distressed jeans from Motherhood Maternity--they're beyond comfy and pretty darn cute if I do say so myself. I also love cocoa butter, essential oils, my giant pink body pillow and my Preggo Leggings.

5. To end this interview tell us something funny that has happened to you during your pregnancy?

Oh..literally EVERYTHING. I thought I was a klutz a before, little did I know! But I think the funniest thing I have done would probably be when I cried over spilling my salad from Costa Vida (that's happened a few times over food..HA!) or when I put the ice cream in the microwave thinking it was the freezer. That's pregnancy brain for ya, right?!
