17 weeks - Featuring Dress by Cleo Madison

January 24, 2018

Dress by: Cleo Madison sold out in Olive but available in Charcoal

How far along? 17 weeks and two days.
Total weight gain/loss:  At my last OB appointment I finally gained two pounds but this week I have thrown up three times. I still get nauseous and brushing my teeth at night time triggers it. I have to brush them super quickly.
Maternity clothes? I can still wear my regular jeans but I have a lot of round ligament pain this pregnancy. I sometimes unbuckle them from that pain. I love my new Pink Blush skinny maternity jeans.I don't wear the belly band up in the jeans since my bump isn't as big yet.
Stretch Marks? No new ones but I still have faded ones from Henry.
Sleep: I got my body pillow out from Target and I love it. I have to switch sides once per night from round ligament pain or having to use the bathroom haha.
Best moment this week: It wasn't this week but last Tuesday we found out baby #2 is a sweet baby boy. I am so excited to meet him and I love him so much already.
Miss Anything? No this pregnancy has been amazing with no bed rest this time. I don't like that I am still getting nauseous a few times per day.
Movement: Yes small movements at night time and I love it.
Food cravings: Mexican food, lime/lemon/salt on fruits or vegetables, raw vegetables, french fries dipped in shakes( my favorites shakes are the ones from In and Out), Lucky Charms, and random foods I see on Instagram stories haha.
Anything making you queasy or sick: The trash can, the sink, dirty dishes, food on dishes, and colognes/perfumes.
Have you started to show yet? Yes I love my little bump.
Gender: Boy Oh Boy! We have a first name and middle name already picked out!
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time?  Happy and moody when I get super tired or hungry. Pregnancy hormones are so funny!
Weekly Wisdom: Be aware when brushing your teeth and tongue you may lose your food during pregnancy. Haha so sad!
Looking forward to: My next ultrasound in two weeks!I get to see my baby every time and my OB. He is amazing.

My favorite new dress is this Olive Dress by Cleo Madison. Not maternity but super stretchy, which makes it maternity friendly. I love the length too because dresses get shorter when the baby bump grows. I loved receiving this beautiful dress for my honest review. Cleo Madison's dresses are affordable, modest, and you get free shipping with every US order.  She also carries footwear, skirts, swimwear and tops.

13 weeks- Bump Update

January 1, 2018

Hello friends and family,
It feels so great to be blogging again after all these months. I first started blogging regularly when I was pregnant with Henry. Before that my blog was a marriage/travel blog. I am feeling so blessed in this new 2018 year. 2017 was the hardest year of my life. I lost my father to cancer in April and lost my FIL in October. This new life and baby is the biggest blessing for our family. We have prayed for this baby to join our family for seven months and feel so much joy.
We found out this baby was joining our family in late October and it's been emotional ever since. We lost someone special the day before and gained one the next day.

Last pregnancy I loved writing bump updates! I decided to keep the tradition going.

How far along? 13 weeks & six days
Total weight gain/loss:  Last pregnancy I was sick/nauseous but it doesn't compare with this pregnancy. Around 5 weeks along I got all day sickness. If I ate anything I would throw up. I had an OB appointment that week and he started me on Diclegis. I was on Diclegis for about two months. I ran out for Thanksgiving and my insurance stopped covering it. I threw up the next day all day. I tried the Sea bands, Preggie Pops, saltine crackers, Canada Dry but nothing worked. I was finally able to get samples from my OB and that's the only thing that worked. I was still nauseous but didn't throw up.
Around 12 weeks my OB switched me to a less strong medications. At 13 weeks I forgot to take my pills during the afternoon and I didn't get sick. It's been almost 1 week and no medication. I haven't gained any weight but have lost a few pounds.
Maternity clothes? I can still wear all my regular jeans, shirts, and shoes haha. Give me a few weeks and I will be with my jeans unbuckled. I need to go shopping at H &M for maternity jeans.
Stretch Marks? No new ones but I still have faded ones from Henry.
Sleep: Great! I am using a small pillow in between my legs to sleep. I will get my body pillow in a few weeks.
Best moment this week: Celine Dion concert in Vegas with my mom, sister and my husband for driving us.
Have you told family and friends: Yes for Christmas day and I told our immediate family the day we found with a present.
Miss Anything? No, since this pregnancy I haven't been on bed rest. I feel wonderful.
Movement: Not yet.
Food cravings: I finally have an appetite and it feels amazing! I love sour candies, fruits, and real food! I haven't been craving chocolates or eating them much.
Anything making you queasy or sick: The trash can, the sink, dirty dishes, food on dishes, and colognes/perfumes.
Have you started to show yet? Yes when you have a small torso and it's your second baby. I have a little bump.
Gender prediction: Boy only because I have a boy but this pregnancy is completely different. I don't have bad acne at the beginning, the cravings are different and I haven't felt the baby move. Our OB can find out in two weeks.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time?  Happy and moody when I am super  hungry for real food.
Weekly Wisdom: Do not walk the Vegas Strip while pregnant. It will make you queasy! Smoke everywhere and New Years weekend there is more strange.
Looking forward to: My next ultrasound in two weeks!

Poppy and Dot dress: My color is sold out but Navy is still available.
